With a little imagination and creative DIY even a leftover can is not just a can any more! I always need holders for everything from pens and brushes and cleaning supplies and I always have cans and containers I admittedly hoard because someday I might just be able to make something great out of them!
No one can resist a can of Pepperidge Farm cookies but once the treats are gone you may still have something great leftover.
I love rock projects in every size and shape there’s just something so earthy about rocks they work great to cover whatever you are recycling, they are heavy enough to keep a project from tipping over and the sizes and shapes are amazing. You can use tacky glue or in this case I used my hot glue gun. Except for a couple of finger burns, I’m getting much better at working with hot glue!
Choosing the right stones in the right size and color is right from your center of creativity and sometimes a real challenge!
I really enjoy these DIY home art projects. They give me a chance to express my inner art (I’m not a very good artist honestly but I AM creative!). There’s a fun satisfaction in reusing what would just be more garbage that is now something pretty and useful. I mean why throw out or use an undecorated cookie can when it can be the greatest cleaning laundry utility brush ever!
